INETTT Annual Meeting 2025

INETTT member representatives from across the International Network of Energy Transition Think Tanks (INETTT) will gather in Mexico City for our most significant milestone of the year. This annual meeting is a dedicated space for aligning strategies, sharing insights and strengthening collaboration across borders. Co-hosted with our local network member IDEA, the event will connect INETTT’s global expertise with Mexico’s unique energy context, fostering deeper understanding and stronger ties between regions.

Communities worldwide are advancing solutions to accelerate the shift away from fossil fuels while ensuring the transition is just, resilient and inclusive. Over the course of one week, INETTT members will:

• Review and align on network priorities and INETTT’s thematic Working Groups
• Learn from Mexico’s energy landscape and exchange regional experiences
• Explore how just transition approaches move beyond technological aspects to address socioeconomic needs
• Tackle complex challenges in the power sector – from grid stability to integrating very high shares of renewables
• Share strategies for industrial decarbonisation and navigating climate policy geopolitics, including CBAM and carbon markets in developing countries

The Annual Meeting is where INETTT’s collective expertise comes together to develop innovative policy solutions, respond to emerging challenges and advance a vision for energy systems that are people-centred and equitable.
