Energy system analytics training vol. 2
The second edition of the INETTT Energy system analytics brought together early- to mid-career professionals from across the global network. Led by experts from Agora Think Tanks’ Energy and Data Modelling team, the intensive three-day workshop focused on building technical capacity for data-driven energy policy design.
About this training
Reflecting the growing importance of equipping energy professionals with the tools to interpret and communicate complex energy data, the training provided strong analytical foundations for designing effective, evidence-based policy.
Over the course of the training, participants explored:
- Fundamentals of energy systems and key data sources
- Critical assessment of energy model results
- Data processing, transparency and storytelling
- Translating complex datasets into actionable policy insights to guide ambitious energy transitions
The programme also emphasised collaboration across the INETTT network, fostering connections between analysts working in diverse national contexts while tackling shared challenges, from coal phaseout and scaling renewables to improving energy access and ensuring equity in transition pathways.
