2.1.2 Spatial planning regulation

Does the spatial planning regulation include renewable energy projects by default (i.e. specific zones that are reserved for potential future RE deployment)? Are regional or local spatial plans required to dedicate certain shares of land for renewables (e.g., 2% of the total land mass)? Does the country have specific Renewable Energy Zones (REZ)? Are siting processes clear and transparent? How long do they usually take for each technology? Are renewable energies considered “strategic/priority infrastructure” in spatial planning laws, thus facilitating the planning process?
